Longitudinally welded steel pipes (SAWL)

Longitudinally welded pipes (SAWL) are made of specific formats of steel sheets, in various grades of steel.

Depending on required mechanical and technological properties, pipes are produced from the following steel types:
– unalloyed and low alloyed,
– microalloyed and fine-grained steels,
– quality,
– special,
– normalized or thermomechanical rolled.

Pipes may be subjected to non-destructive testing including hydrostatic pressure test and automatic ultrasonic or radiological tests.

Depends on diameter, pipes may be manufactured with single longitudinal weld but also with two or three longitudinal welds. Pipes deliveries are realized with either plain or beveled ends.

Pipe length: 2 – 14m and lengths up to 18 m or any length according to the customer’s request. Made with or without girth weld, depends on required length.

Area of application: Gas transport, oil pipelines, hot-water pipes, potable water distribution systems, sewer piping and construction purposes.

Anticorrosive protection:
Pipes may be delivered either without anticorrosive protection or PE coated and epoxy or cement lined.
